Letter from our President

Board President Alan Jones

Greetings,

Pondering my years at Villa Marin I can truly say that every day is a new adventure. We are unique in
California in being both a Home Owner's Association and a Continuing Care Retirement Community
which is fully self-governing. This came vividly to life for me when I was elected to our Board of
Directors, and later selected as President. The homeowners really run the show.

Villa Marin attracts a spunky and diverse group of residents each of whom has their own ideas about
how to run the place. These friends and neighbors are truly my kind of people. We share the
responsibilities, the challenges, and the satisfaction of helping our community to thrive

There are twenty committees which residents are encouraged to join according to their experiences and
their interests. Whether your interest is in the Environment, Activities and Entertainment, Financial
Affairs, or the Dining Experience, there are many opportunities to make your voice heard and your
preferences felt. To live here is to live in a friendly neighborhood of mutually supportive people
among whom you will soon find friends and many interesting acquaintances.

Whether you are a socially active person or more quiet and reserved, on behalf of the Board of Directors I invite you to see whether there is a place for you here in our community.

Very truly yours,

Alan Jones, President
